Good bye to Maggies Farm
Today is my last day. I'm going to miss Bay City a lot. The people I met here were amazing and I've made a lot of life long friends. I've had an excellent time working at the paper and the staff here was very helpful. This is a thank you to everyone who gave me their time and allowed me space in their world.

ELECTIONEERING
As some of you may know I have my fair share of vices. One of the worst being that I'm a political junkie. Election season is like Christmas for me. 2008 was a real high for me and I'm afraid it's going to be hard to get my fix from here on out. Anyway a few images from my coverage of the Democrats in the Bay County Mi area.
Sandy Buda, back left, embraces Crystal Byas after Sen. Barack Obama, D- Il. was projected the winner of the 2008 presidential election Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the UAW Hall on Wilder Rd. in Bay City. Byas was overcome with emotion and exclaimed "We worked so hard... I've waited so long."
Donald Tilley kisses his wife Brandy Tilley, right, after winning the 9th District County Commissioner seat during the Democrats election party Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the UAW Hall on Wilder Rd. in Bay City.
Rep. Dale Kildee, D-MI right, holds up a box of Twinkies gifted by Tony Pawelski, left, during the Democrats election party Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the UAW Hall on Wilder Rd. in Bay City. Pawelski, Chairman of the Bay County Democratic Party, knew of Rep. Kildee's weakness for the snack cake.

Two Recent Shots...
Couple recent things from the last week. A happy wild art moment and a bit of a sad story. Trying to keep all of you balanced as best I can...
Destany Archey, 4, is sprayed by here grandmother while helping wash one of the families cars Tuesday, September 2, 2008.
Sheri Sowden, left, helps untangle a string from Tyler Sowden, 4 in Tylers room Friday, August 29, 2008. Tyler and brother Ethan, 3, suffer from a rare form of MPS know as Sanfilippo Syndrome. State Theater
Being bored and lonely sometimes pays off. I stumbled upon this little scene while I was walking around downtown Bay City last night. The State Theater is getting a new marquee. Jared was the person in charge of changing the signs so he got to help take it apart.
Jared Julien, right, works on removing light sockets from the marquee on the State Theater Monday, August 11, 2008. The marquee is being removed to make way for a more modern version to be unveiled September 11.
